Croque Mayo Strangewich


Drop the bechamel sauce and make this super easy, cheesy Croque Mayo Strangewich instead.


Croque Mayo Strangewich
Serves 4

1 cup Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Spicy Dijon Mustard
8 slices, crusty country loaf
2 cups gruyere, finely grated
16 slices Ham, thinly sliced
16 ounces Smoked Turkey Breast, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
Cornichons and Dijon mustard, to serve

Preheat oven to 450.
In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, honey, and dijon mustard.
On a baking sheet lined with foil, slather one side of each piece of bread with mayonnaise mixture. Top each slice of bread with 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of turkey and 1/2 the gruyere. Repeat: layering mayonnaise mixture, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of turkey, and remaining gruyere.
Bake until golden and bubbly 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven, top with fresh nutmeg.
Serve immediately with cornichons and dijon mustard.
